Sew a pencil case class hosted by Minnesota Tool Library

  • 2024-09-07
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 1010 Dale St N, Saint Paul MN 55117

The Minnesota Tool Library's Learn to Sew project sessions are perfect for beginners or those looking to boost their basic sewing skills and try out some new patterns. Each session begins with a lesson on the parts and functions of the sewing machine (like the zipper foot), how to properly thread that needle (what bobbins are for), and how to make a variety of stitches. You'll use the class project pattern to create something awesome that you can easily practice and replicate on your own, and become confident in your ability to operate a sewing machine.

In this class you will make a small zippered pouch - a perfect  little multi-purpose organizer for all manner of knick-knacks. There will be a variety of different materials to choose from, so not all pouches will look exactly like the one pictured above. You will also leave with the pattern, so you can make more to share, using the sewing machines from the MN Tool Library.
