Rethos

Emily is the Education Manager for Rethos, a historic preservation nonprofit that emphasizes building reuse, deconstruction, and environmental justice. Emily’s role steers the Education Department, which provides programming on deconstruction and reuse, old home repair, and housing accessibility. Previously, Emily has worked in a variety of roles with a focus on higher education access with the University of Minnesota, University of Pennsylvania, the Community College of Philadelphia, and Bowdoin College. Emily has a bachelor’s degree in history from Macalester College, and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Newer to the reuse world, they are dedicated to promoting the end of Construction and Demolition waste and making educational materials on reuse accessible to all.

Reuse Minnesota was founded in 2012 and is a member-based nonprofit that supports repair, resale, and rental businesses, bringing visibility to the reuse sector as a means to lower our state's impact on the environment.
