Learn the basics of English paper piecing, a hand-sewing technique that uses small fabric pieces to create beautiful designs. In this class, you'll use reclaimed textile scraps to make a 5.5" flower from hexagon shapes. You'll learn basic hand-sewing skills like basting, whipstitching, tying knots (there’s an easy way to do it!), and more! By the end, you'll have a completed flower that can be used as an ornament, decorative piece, or gift embellishment.
Masks are required for this class, and we will provide a free KN95 mask for you. Feel free to bring fabric scraps if you have them.
**Minimum age: 16**
Funding for this class provided by Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's Environmental Assistance Grant Program.
