In this hands-on class at Park Grove Library, you'll learn the essential functions and settings of a sewing machine, from threading to operating the foot pedal. We will cover the basics of stitch types, seam allowances, and machine maintenance to ensure smooth operation. You'll also complete a simple project that gives you practice in handling fabric, cutting patterns, and stitching seams.
By the end, you'll feel comfortable using a sewing machine for a variety of creative projects. Machines will be available during class, and all materials will be provided. This class will be held at the Park Grove Library, hosted by the Public Health and Environment Department of Washington County.
