Swap - Outdoor gear (Eastside Food Co-op)

Get ready for an exciting community event designed to help you refresh your gear while supporting sustainability! Bring your gently used outdoor equipment and trade it for something new. It’s the perfect chance to declutter, swap out your gear, and help others get outdoors, too.

A gentle reminder: this is a swap, not a dump. Please only bring items you would feel good handing directly to a friend: clean, functional, and complete. If you wouldn't gift it, please don't bring it. Broken, corroded, or incomplete items will not be accepted.

What to Bring:

• Backpacks, hiking poles
• Tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, camp pillows (no regular bed pillows)
• Cookware, utensils
• Camp chairs, coolers
• Flashlights, lanterns, headlamps (must be free of battery corrosion)
• Climbing rope, carabiners, other climbing gear
• Fishing poles, line, and tackle (no lead)
• Binoculars, navigation tools, first aid kits, other outdoor essentials
• Head nets, bug nets, mosquito screens

What NOT to bring:

• ANYTHING FLAMABLE
• Broken items or anything missing parts
• Large or heavy items that require more than one person to carry
• Blankets, bedding, or general household textiles
• Everyday clothing (jeans, dress shoes, non-outdoor apparel, etc.)
• Food or perishable items of any kind
• Weapons (guns, knives, or any other dangerous items)
• Helmets, life jackets, or safety gear that cannot be verified for integrity

This is your chance to share the love for the great outdoors! Recycle your gear, find something new to enhance your outdoor experiences, and help others in our community get equipped for their next adventure. Plus, it's all about supporting sustainability and reducing waste, one swap at a time!

Any leftover items will be donated to an appropriate non-profit
