Thank you to everyone who joined us either in person or online, for our quarterly member meeting last week! We were thrilled to welcome 54 members and guests for an engaging and inspiring day centered around reuse, community, and collaboration.

The day began with site visits to two member organizations:

Afternoon meeting at Northfield Arts Guild
Following lunch, members gathered at the Northfield Arts Guild for our formal meeting session. We were honored to welcome two special guests:
- Representative Kristi Pursell (District 58A) shared updates on the Digital Fair Repair Bill and key e-waste legislation.
- Northfield Mayor Erica Zweifel highlighted the city’s reuse efforts, from repair clinics and plastic reduction initiatives to supporting local reuse businesses, and the upcoming Reclaimed & Reloved Tour on June 20–21.
Reuse Minnesota updates & highlights
During the meeting, we also shared organizational updates, including:
- Board elections: Interested in shaping the future of reuse in Minnesota? Board applications open soon, with elections this fall.
- Membership growth: We welcomed 44 new and renewing members since our last meeting—thank you for joining our community!
- Programs: Fix-It Clinics, mending workshops, and educational outreach continue to expand and engage.
- REUSE25 conference: Registration is now open! Get involved as a sponsor, exhibitor, speaker, or attendee.
- Fundraising efforts: We're actively building support for our mission. Register to attend our summer fundraising event.
Member spotlights
We were proud to spotlight two member organizations during our meeting:
- Good To Go Cups, a reusable coffee cup exchange program promoting waste reduction and customer loyalty.
- Baby Gear Group, which has helped over 420 Twin Cities families swap and share baby items, helping to reduce both environmental impact and financial strain.
Throughout the day, members had the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and explore the Northfield reuse community. Thank you to our hosts, speakers, and attendees for participating!
